Team Hc Alpines manager Anthony Leutenegger has publicly stated his disappointment with the teams performances lately.
"I really dont know what it is! VCK Classic Gaspar was ranked first by a huge margin and finished 8th and in Firenze Magne was in prime condition and ranked in the top 5 and came 13th.""This has been an on going issue for almost a month now, since the stretch we won Saskatoon, Athens and 3rd in Lappi Sea."
One reason thought by experts is the lack of support to the leaders of Hc Alpine. "They are racing without proper lead outs or teammates, there is only so much 1 man can do alone!" Canuck Racings manager Andrew Cantarutti had stated. The second reason is simply bad luck, which the team is well known for having since its creation a few seasons ago.
In response to this, Mr. Leutenegger has gone out and picked up Eliade Drida from Team TheoBos. "He adds experience to an extremely young team and an ability to help Gaspar a bit more in the hills and climbs.""We are also working with Ariel and soon Louis to really give Magne a great/strong leadout."
Also picked up is unscouted Ulrik Sørum who is replacing Dionzy Formun after his departure.
Anthony Leutenegger: "We are disappointed but know that this is only a minor setback, hopefully we can pick up the pace near the end of the season. Some major future goals include Monte Rosa, and then the division 2 classics, but we shall see if we can get there."
